Retatrutide is Eli Lilly's LY3437943, a single molecule that acts on the GLP-1, GIP and glucagon receptors. PubMed indexes 183 papers, 110 of them reviews, and 8 clinical-trial reports; ClinicalTrials.gov lists 34 registered trials, 33 of them Lilly's.

The phase 3 results are real and large. Lilly reported in May 2026 that the TRIUMPH-1 trial produced average weight loss of up to 28 to 30% over 80 weeks in adults with obesity, with further phase 3 readouts through 2026. Those results come from Lilly's own manufactured product, given under trial supervision, with the company's safety monitoring.

None of that transfers to a vial bought online. Retatrutide is not approved for use in any country and Lilly has said it plans to file with the FDA in the first quarter of 2027.
